  • Vertical fin and Rudder

    all
I am looking for a usable vertical fin and Rudder for a 1943 L2M project.

Wag Aero has them listed for BD12D new, the part number listed at Wag matches the PN in the factory drawings for the L2M.

i have a 1941 prewar BC12 and the rudder and vertical fin does not match, but i am thinking the post wars fin and rudder are the same as the L2M.

    Re: Vertical fin and Rudder

Correct Paul, post-war B models use the L-2/tandem D model tail surfaces, hence the BC12-D designation. The post-war tails use two-hinge control surfaces vs. three-hinge for pre-war, and the D fin and rudder are taller and narrower than the pre-war. Early post-war 1945 B models use the BC12-D model designation, but use pre-war tails anyway.
