  • WANTED Shinn Brake Adjusters and Springs....

Hi Folks ! I am new to this Forum/Club. I recently baught a nice Taylorcraft project and I'm in need of some Brake parts....I need the Adjusters and Springs. I presently have an Aeronca Champ 7DC [ 4th made in 1947 ] this is my second Champ, The first was a 7 AC. When I first started to look for an Aircraft to own my pick was the Taylorcraft...But couldn't find one for sale in this area. Now I have come full circle. Any help you fellows/ladies can give me would be most appreciated. Thank you kindly...Regards Brian [ Grass Hopper ] Can be reached at ...email [email protected] Phone # 613-851-8424

I am not sure what Skybound carries, but they do Shinn stuff. Welcome and good luck!

I recently bought some stuff from them Dust plates are new, adjusters are used but cleaned up nicely. I did send some brake shoes to them for rebuild in September, but, even after repeated calls and replies that they will be mailed tomorrow, haven't got them back yet. Rebuilding a 46 Tcraft.

That seems to be a common complaint, Gary. But it seems they are the only game in town.

You may give Doug Combs of the Luscombe foundation a call. He had some Shinn parts as of 2 years ago...I had the same issues with Skybound
