Certified Aeronautical Products is proud to announce the release of

    the 2014 Taylorcraft Lover's Calendar.

Many of you have been awaiting this for several weeks. I must say, calendar time slips up quickly on us here at CAP every year. i wanted to get these out earlier this year, so I recruited more help from the family this year, but with three girls in High School, it has been tough to devote time to this project. We love doing it so we appreciate you all being patient with us this year.

Thanks to many of you, we have some FANTASTIC photos to share. In a few days, we will announce who will get a free calendar in exchange for letting us select their photos for the calendar. For now, we are revealing the beautiful cover shot submitted by...

Jerry Borshard of Iliamna, AK. Congratulations, Jerry! We have 2 free calendars marked with your name.

I think we'll make it in time for Christmas! We are going to print this week, Lord willing! Our goal is to get these hot off the printer by Saturday to begin mailings by the first part of next week. So we're taking orders now.

                Re: 2014 Taylorcraft Lover's Calendar

Update - OK just a note to let everyone know... Lord willing, calendar mailings will start Tuesday morning Dec. 17. We got behind the power curve and ran short on time... so we had to go with a different printer this year. So our cost went up to near double from last year. We expected some increase thats why we upped the price this year. So there's some good news from all of this. The only news that is "not so good" is that we have slipped our dates and are almost out of time for delivery prior to Christmas. Anyway... here's the good news.

                The GOOD news:

                - This year's calendar is gorgeous!! We went with Glossy paper. Outstanding results!!
                - We pick up the print order on Monday... we will fill orders and hit the mail on Tuesday 12/17
                - There are 17 Lucky Winners of free calendars, soon to be announced.
                - There's still a chance to receive your's before Christmas... (crossing fingers).
                - because we have already had several orders come in, we believe we have a good estimate of the numbers, so we will have very few un-sold calendars. So this will help us stay out of the red.
                - Probably the best news for us is that you guys are so Great! We absolutely love doing the calendar every year. The photos we get to see and the people we hear from make this whole thing worthwhile. Thanks to everyone who sent photos, who have ordered calendars, who send us words of encouragement, and for everyone being so patient with us this year... We appreciate you ALL.

                Next years resolution:
We resolve to start earlier and give ourselves plenty of time to shop around for better printing costs. We will do our best to get the price back down. And we plan to start shipments at least 2 weeks earlier next year.

Finally - Don't forget to get your order in ASAP...

                    Re: 2014 Taylorcraft Lover's Calendar

                    Worthy of extra special merit...

Jerry Borshard could make a top-selling calendar just on the pictures he shared. When all the dust began to settle enough to select this year's cover shot, we discovered that the three top photos were all provided by Jerry. I am not sure if it is because of his excellent skill as a photographer, or the shiny gleam from his pretty little Taylorcraft, or if it is the places he goes. But somehow, Jerry has a knack for capturing the essence of the reason I enjoy flying. God's beauty is all around and what a blessing it is to view it all from your Taylorcraft. Jerry our hat goes off you you. We loved every one of your pictures. And we can only imagine how much more wonderful it must have been to experience these shots in person.

It is funny how things go, but here (above) is the one we actually first selected for the cover. But for some reason, this shot did not print nearly as well on paper as it looked on our computer screen. Perhaps with a little enhancement or something, we could have worked it out, but we didn't have to look far to find our second choice, which made an outstanding cover shot. And finally, here is another couple of Jerry's sweet shots.
