A friend of mine has a 59 tri-gear Bellanca 260, with a low time IO-470 chrome major. The airplane is complete, flyable, can pass annual, will be in annual, but it needs some TLC and a thorough going through. Located in dry Arizona.
He has no need for four seats or that kind of speed. He wants to trade it for a flying Taylorcraft, preferably with 85HP, but will consider all. He is willing to trade even for a really nice desirable airplane, or trade down to an average airplane plus a little cash as appropriate.
So if you can use a fast 4 seat airplane with power, want to have a family cruiser, or want to build a cross country airplane... but you still want to have something that turns heads and shows some class... this might be a great opportunity. Your T-craft would be living at a pretty nice private graded dirt strip, and flown regularly.
