What is a 15a worth ?

    What is a 15a worth ?

    I'm going to take a ride tomorrow to look at one.

    What is the general opinion of the 15a.

    I would buy it to replace my pa20. Seems roomier for the growing family.

    At least with a PA20 you can upgrade engines.
    Catch the fish, to make the money, to buy the bread, to gather the strength, to catch the fish...

      Not sure about the upgrade benefit. Upgrade to 150hp o-320 ? The 15a has a 145hp o-300 is roomier, way better slow speed control (slats), lower stall speed and higher useful load. After several hours, the 15 is just a better aircraft, period.

        Not sure anyone makes parts anymore.

          I believe this to be true.
          This can be a benefit though. I can't remember the rule but believe that if you have a certified aircraft and parts are no longer available you are allowed to fabricate and/or use another part to keep the aircraft airworthy ?

          Your thoughts ?
