Hey guys...just introducing myself. I just purchased a 1943 L-2M. It's currently flying but I have my eyes on several projects. I'm sure I'll be asking some questions... Thanks in advance.

Where do you keep your L-2? You may have some new and useful friends nearby who can answer questions.

Matt - Howdy from Texas.
You might find a lot of useful information at my web-page below. We have the STC to upgrade L-2M with 85, 90, or 100 horsepower. Also have some other modification data you might need sometime. Look us up and keep us in mind. We look forward to seeing photos of your airplane. What is your serial #? There is another L-2 driver in your area, a customer of ours... has the 100 hp Continental O-200A conversion. Email me sometime.

It's been a while since I've posted anything. This winter (in between flights) I was able to accomplish several projects on the L-2. The glass has officially been "cleaned" and looks terrific. All of the interior panels have been refinished and stenciled. Yesterday my new bungee tool arrived. A friend back in Georgia who owns an original had the local machine shop copy the tool. I'm hoping next week she'll have new shock cords installed and I'll still have all my fingers.

My apologies to several of you if you wrote to me about the bungee tool contact...and I did not respond. I just discovered several emails and I'm responding back as soon as I find them. My spam filter seems to think everything is spam. There's a shop down the road from the airport that is evaluating my tool. I think he can copy it fairly easily. I'll keep you posted...when he tells me a price.
