I just found this site a few days ago while surfing and have enjoyed the reading. Short history, got my tailwheel endorsement Jan of '91 when I was 19 in a BC-12D my cousin and I restored. I turn 31 in two days and have since then been restoring t-crafts ever since. My Grandfather has been collecting parts for years and has the ad that is in Trade a Plane all the time. Right now I am finishing a '41 DeLuxe for a guy, and starting 1 of 4 YO-57's and a '41 Standard. I don't have all the answers or all the parts, but if anybody needs anything let me know.

Which one of the YO-57s do you have?? I thought I knew what/where happened to all four of them I'd appreciate it if you would give me the sn of the one you have. Thanks

Dick,The sn is on the flat part of the rear(?) throttle handle right behind the knob. Sometimes the handles were reversed during a restoration. It will consist of the 4 digits of the sn. Dick

Data plate reads: YO-57, mil s/n 42-455, civ s/n 4011, mfg date 8-26-41. Bought out of FL several years back. Did not know what it was until we got it home. I was after the metal wings. The original fuselage was rotten and the owner removed everything from it, cut it up, and through it in his pond behind his house. We did get everything else.

Forest, I am Falocon Propellers as well, my Grandfather Roy Good has bought a lot of parts from you in years past.

I'm sure glad someone finally got it. I tried HARD about 10 years ago to get it and the owner kept dancing around until I finally quit trying. The story on why the fuselage was destroyed is that he removed the 65 Cont and installed a 60 HP British Weslake engine and liscensed it experimental. A friend of the owner lost it on takeoff and the fuselage was bent.
