  • Looking for a L2-M. East Coast

    Tribe:

Does anyone know of a Taylorcraft L2-M in top condition. One of the fellow pilots at our airport is selling/trading/etc... his Hangar Queen 69 Cessna 150 which is in top shape. Low engine time, all speed mods, gap seals, speed wing tips, speed wheel pants, etc..I would say its a 10 out and a 9 inside.I have flown it and its a dream. He has the tail wheel bug ( I would venture to say that he has the TAYLORCRAFT BUG !!) after flying in the Talyorcraft. He has been recruited to join the Forum (and make a donation !).

Why a L2M. he likes the tandem seating with the Taylorcraft characteristics, rather than a Cub or Champ.

Any help is appreciated. East coast preferred.

    Thanks

    Ralph

    Hi Ralph,

Well, it is not on the East coast and it is in the typical incorrect paint scheme with D-Day markings but the price is a steal at $17,000.00. Probably has issues but for a warbird the price isn't terrible.

Aircraft for sale. Find the best new and used aircraft for sale such as business jets, helicopters, Experimental, Warbirds and more.
    Cheers,
    Marty

      Thank you Marty.

Will print the add and hand deliver it. Even though he is a flyer, not a restorer, this may be his ticket.

Hope they can come to some arrangement.

      Regards,

      Ralph

        Marty.

You aced it !!. The L-2 has problems inside the wings. A possible cracked spar and issues with the wood ribs.... He will pass on this one.

        Thanks again.

L-2M is not light sport, if that matters.

            Thanks Dave.

I will pass it on. Hopefully it does not have any squacks
