  • Baggage frame

I'm looking for some help in determining how the wooden frame for the canvas baggage bag fits into a 1940 airframe. I have three wooden pices that are routed out to fit around a framing tube. When the two shart pieces are laid end to end they are the same length as the third piece. I thank the are ment to fit to the horz. side tubes at the cluster at the top of the seat back. If this is the case then a horz. piece would go side to side and attach to the these side pieces. Any help will be appreciated, also pictures would help.
    Thanks Rex

      Re: Baggage frame

I have a 1946 BC12D, If compt is the same with the canvas bag
1 2 pieces slotted one left one right, c/t the rear windows.
1 fwd end rests on the upper wooden cross member of the upper seat canvas support. Aft end piece has 3 screw locations on each side at the tubular members half way up from the floor on each side. Aircraft Spruce has the baggage compt canvas for 72.00 special order, page 129. If I can, I'll try to send images. please remember. The 2 side posts are not interchangeable. Have to fit the puzzle. Left front, etc. I did that until the holes and parts lined up. Good Luck
