Re: Hole sizes in new wing attach bracket

Do they have a part# either a stamp or a tag? Is there an inspection stamp with a number? I am off to Sun-N-Fun for a week bye

I don't see a part number stamped or on a tag. It's just written with a marker. And no inspection stamp or number that I can see. What does that mean?

        Greg,
Your building an experimental Swick....it means inspect it carefull, measure it,check for proper fit and metal size(within a few thousandths),and if it checks and fits good, use it.

Well it looks like I'm not out of the woods yet. After being delayed by storm damage to my hangar........now I find that one of these new brackets wont fit the fuselage fitting! I have two fuselages here and this bracket will not fit either fuselage.

I'll call the factory again today. This is getting old.

            Greg,
How bad was your hanger damage....just the hanger or was there content damage too? I know you guys had some pretty rough stuff down that way the other night,we barely missed the worst of it here

Re: Hole sizes in new wing attach bracket

              Kevin,
Damage was just to the hangar, thank God, my Pitts is fine. The wind tore the door off and destroyed it, but the rest of the hangar was untouched. It doesn't look like anything was touched in the hangar. There were small things (empty coffee cans, rags, light chairs, etc), and nothing was even moved. So the cub fuse is fine also.

By the way, I was just curious about Forrests comments in his earlier post relating to quality control since I'm realy beginning to question it.

One last final note on this thread if anyone is interested in the factory service........the Taylorcraft factory did make this right and sent me new brackets and this time and everything looks great! The hole sizes, dimension, etc are right and everything fit properly. It took a little effort to send parts back and forth, but in the end, the factory delivered the correct parts. The parts guy was very understanding and helpful.

                Thanks Taylorcraft!
