Re: Model 20 back in the air!
Ian,
I would be glad to tell everything I know, but the bird belongs to my father-in-law Milton Kellner so he could give you a lot more information then I could. I'm sure he would love to talk to you, that happens to be his favorite subject.
I can tell you he bought the plane a couple of years ago in South Carolina, sight unseen. The fuselage was in excellent shape, but one of the gas tanks leaked so I helped him trailer the plane back to Texas.
Send me an email at [email protected] and I would be glad to give you his phone number. Rumor is he plans to fly to Oshkosh this year, so if you go to Oshkosh you could see the plane and get all the details.

Re: Model 20 back in the air!
Tell Milton hello for me. He may not remember me but he knows my dad, who bought a BC12D (N95598) from him in the mid '70s. I remember Milton flew that airplane just about every evening. After my dad purchased the airplane, he taught me to fly in it. Later we restored it and then my dad sold it in '84. Last year, I was fortunate to purchase the airplane back. I searched the records and found that Milton purchased the airplane from a widow in Gatesville, TX. Long story... but I determined that all the owners of N95598 in its lifetime are in 4 counties of Texas.
Anyway... it has been years since Ive seen Milton... I recognize him in the photos, except his gray hair. I was at the LZZ airport about a year ago and saw he had another BC12D tied down there. I also heard about him restoring the model 20. Glad to hear he has it flying again. One of these days... I will have to trade out rides with you guys.Terry Bowden, formerly TF # 351
