    Hello T-craft peoples,

I haven't posted here in a while, still have the tcraft, but am having questions on my scott master cylinder for the Stinson.

I want to replace the O-rings, a 'u-seals'. What I am wondering about, is if you look at the pdf, item 31, I've found if I do this up tight on 26, the brakes don't work. I back it off, a couple of turns, and the brakes work.

I can't find a service manual / overhaul manual for these brakes, and I want to get item 31 set where it is supposed to be, not '2 or 3 turns' on a 'whim'.

Does anyone know the amount of 'free play that I should have between 31 and the stack up of parts (27,28,29,30 and 26?) is it a certain amount of tighten it up, and back off x number of threads/turns, or is it a .010" gap, or what.

I've asked around and can't get an answer, from my sources, and not being able to find a service manual, is making it a little difficult.

Thanks for any help that you can give

    Mike,

I have a pair of Matco MC-5 master cylinders that have never been used. I think I paid a little over a hundred bucks apiece for them. If you are interested in them, I'd take a hundred for the pair. They are 8" between the mounting holes.
