Re: F21B is about ready to fly!!!!
Any bad comments about the ships made in other locations after they left Alliance certainly do not bother me in the least bit.
They, IMHO , stopped being real "Taylorcrafts" ; the Lock Haven days and thereafter have always been a nightmare to me.
The large tanks need a complete redesign and some folks have done this very successfully. The sealing of the threads and tightening are to be done carefully , sometimes I have had to rethread to get it to come out right . the one full turn sometimes is just too much. The attachment of the gascolator to the engine mount on the 65HP ships is another area that calls for a bit of thought and sometimes a bit of "bright" work to do the job right.
I have no good answers. the fellow who thinks they are too light or something can just go fly some more.
I demonstrated the F-19 in a direct 22K cross wind for the certification tests. That puckered me up a bit , but it can be done.
