Hey everyone,
First of all thanks for all the info on here. I'm planning on building a clip I have a set of bc-12 wings and some prewar parts. I just finished restoring an aeronca chief and now want an acro plane. I have no plans on selling it so Im leaning towards an O-320 powered plane since I have the chief for a slow flying plane. But heres some of my plans for wings, I have Cole plans(from Eric) but have never seen swicks plans
Start with stock bc-12 wings
Modify to cole plans using stock ailerons (unless in propwash?)use pre war hinges and bell cranks (stronger?) I would like to make a rounder wing tip which would slow roll rate but would help in area? Would this set up be a good length in your opinion ( try to be at 30 feet complete)Use .020 leading edge for increased speeds, would more nose ribs be necessary? I have the stock wings and new long spars that the cole plans call for. So thats my basic idea what are your opinons for my type of flying this plane will be for acro but still do intend to be doing super hard acro.
thanks.
Trevor
