Greg- I made some serious progress on my clipwing. . . .I bought a clipwing Cub last week ;-) I had to do something until I could finish my clipwing T. It has a little 0-235 in it - I can't wait to get it this weekend! Hope you guys still talk to me. . . . .

Flying is easy- to go up you pull back, to go down you pull back a little farther.
Here's a couple more, but it's in my basement so it's kind of hard to get a good shot of it. I can't take the credit for the beautiful welding.......I just did the fabrication and tack welded them.
Eric, a clipped cub sounds like fun also. I don't know how you find these things! If I could have located one two years ago, I probably wouldn't be building this. Just hope I can finish it.
By the way..........just received wing tanks from Wag-Aero, haven't opened yet................have several items on the "honey-do" list...............but the wife is out of town till tomorrow.............what to do, what to do....
Great looking progress Greg. . . . .I am installing stringers and have teh panel and floor boards in for good. It is really nice to install things for the last time! My wings are ready to assemble but I do not plan to even start on them until this winter. Having a farm makes building airplanes seasonal work.
I got the clipwing cub home yesterday evening. It has a little 0-235 in it and weighs around 800 pounds- it does good but it isn't a Clipwing T. I am going to have to learn to fly acro all over again! My first loop was TERRIBLE. I lost like 200 feet on the recovery. Anyway- I'll eventually figure it out!
Kevin Mays was here yesterday morning and took the Pitts S2A back to Kentucky. He did a really good job on the takeoff from our really small grass strip. He called last night and said he got home with the airplane in one piece. . . .

Geee Eric....you talk like you had doughts..lol. Good to see ya again my friend. By the way, if I happen to stumble across that eight day clock you lost I'll make sure it is well cared for, hehe. Have fun with the Cub.
Kevin- when you wet your pants as the engine started I took that as a touch of fear . . . just kidding.
Flew the CW Cub last night and started figuring it out. I got it back to my hanger at the field where you got the Pitts with no problems. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while!
