I saw that, looks like the rudder and vertical have been modified to more of a Monocoupe profile. Or maybe it's just my crummy monitor.

That is a nice one- I looked at it a few years ago when it was for sale. Seems like it was a bit on the heavy side but definately built well. A fellow by the name of Mark ?????? from Indiana did the conversion.It is a Cole conversion for the most part. Bad thing is I could have bought it for 20k then.

Yep...I sure have. I grew up about 30 Miles North of there. I used to take my dad's J-3 in there 20+ years ago when I was a teenager and sell rides (Pretty hard to sell rides in a town of 50-100 people). I haven't been in there in a few years now...last time was 4 or so years ago, we had lunch at the little diner across the road. My dad and I flew wing to wing in our T-Crafts. You sound like you,ve been there obviously.

I've got property on the north side of Sturgeon River Gorge,south of Alston & Nissula.My good friend Mike Sullivan owns the Nissula store & the Alston meat market.I'll be there the week of Oct 10th.I used to fly up there all the time in the'46,but I haven't flown the '38 up yet.
