  • Swick or Cole plans (again)

Hi everybody, first post here. I did a search and found this subject has been covered before, but not recently.

I tried to call Mike Swick about plans for the Swick-T, but got an answering program. Is he still offering them?

I'd also like a set of Cole plans in good condition, since no one seems to have picked up the ball on selling them since he (Duane) passed.

Yes, Mike Swick is still selling his plans. I just bought a set a few months ago. Maybe try him again tomorrow.

I'll try him again, but the last time I talked to him was a couple years ago and he didn't seem to be getting around too well, didn't know if he was feeling well these days.

Anyone got a lead on Cole plans?, I'd like a set of both.

      Thanks, TJB

I'm interested in the Swick also. I don't care about a fire-breathing, competition aircraft, but I'd like something that could qualify for the Sport Pilot license and do a loop or roll or two if I got bored with straight and level.
I currently have a great little Aeronca 7BCM that I'd part with for the right clipped wing or project...

A few months ago, before my computer crashed and I lost everything, someone said that they had a set of Swick drawings (not to scale, and nothing that could be used for building). I'd be interested in looking at them. Are you still out there, whoever it was??

I called Mike Swick the other morning and confirmed that he still sells the plans. He asked which engine I wanted to use, and when I responded with the O-200, he said that was actually the best in his opinion. (Although I could still cave in to the O-320 idea.)

I'm still looking for a suitable airframe, the one I looked at earlier this week was HDS (hammered dog sh*t). Asking price was way too high for what was there, besides the fact you would seriously need a fuselage jig for it.
