Would anyone who has built a Swick-T be willing to chat on the phone about it? I'm still considering several options and would like to talk to someone who has gone through this before.
Hi,Greg I have a Swick-Cole project e-mail me your phone#.I am building
a 0-200 powered version instead of the Lyc.I have kept the stock wingtips
but have the servo tabbed and balanced ailerons.Swick tail mods also.I have the Cole plans crossed cable system which worked very well Duane Cole and othersfor many years.Swick's push-pull system is VERY nice and engineered well but another guy built the fuselage berfore I got it and it would be too much trouble to convert for the little added gain (my opinion)After all this airplane platform will never be able to compare to the modern type aerobatic airplanes, but still more thanenough performance for the average loop and roll kinda pilot like me.

Greg,
I have the remains of a J-3 with clipped Cole t-craft wings on it.I really loved the way it flew until I rolled it up several years ago.I also have a couple t-craft projects,a skybolt project, and a 1948 C-170 project all going on in my hanger.
If ya want to talk about any of them feel free to call me anytime but I'm not sure how much help I can be about a Swick other than I've flown one a few times,I've also flown a Cole t-craft too.

Yeah, parts and pieces of them.....enough for a pattern and a few parts.I would really love to rebuild it someday when I get everything else caught up.
If you would like to call me about it feel free to do so and I'll tell ya the entire story behind it.

If anyone who has built a Swick, I'd love to discuss a couple things if they wouldn't mind. My number is 502-868-6779, and would be glad to call back on my dime.
Thanks - Greg
Gary,
I'm currently rebuilding my 180HP Swick-T and if you have any questions I can try to help you. I didn't build the airplane but I just started a rebuild. I have an O-360 Lycoming on it but I'm thinking on switching to an O-200 Continental and shed a few pounds of the plane. The 180 HP has great performance but I'm looking for something a little cheaper on fuel.
You can email me at [email protected] that would be the easiest or if you send me your phone number I can call you.
