    Do you have or know of pictures of an original wood panel that was available to a delux buyer back in 41'?

    Was it actually wood, or just woodgrain paint?

      Actually it was a decal. Most were a "tope" a gray color. Some were wood grain . the doors were wood at that time. Duke Iden varifies this and he designed the wooden door too. WE think the top deck panel over the panel was a very heavy pressed paper at that time , and usually tope or some black. Some ships had the "crinkle" finish and that was and is STILL made here in Alliance at the paint company on N. Union.

        Ron,
        I have a 41 Deluxe. I used oak vener that I bought from paxton woods. If you want I will be glad to mail you some pictures of how it looks-just email your mailing address-I don't have a digital camera.
