I announced at the Forumn at Air Venture that Bruce Bixler would be stepping down as News letter editor & President of the Taylorcraft Owner's Club.
We have a tenative deal with Steve Krog who does the Cub, Luscombe and other Newsletters to do a really nice bigger Newsletter. Steve plans to do the first new one when he gets the mailing lists from Bruce & myself to merge them and send one newsletter this month or next , then one at the end of the year , then he will do at least 4 in 2008. Then 6 each year if we get enough content.
A new dues structure will be presented for the members to comment on soon, ( We pay $30.00 total now) Perhaps we will go to $35.00 or $40.00 per year . We are looking to use Regional officers of the Taylorcraft Foundation to have more Taylorcraft Fly-Ins around the country and overseas too!!
I will reprint Bruce's letter on this thread that was read at OSH. I truly feel this is great move into the positive future of us Taylorcraft lover's.... I was slow in doing this after Dave Wiley's unfortunate accident. I have been in direct conversation with the NTSB and others to help in the investigation.
As noted in the buy & sell thread I have listed a few items ( many more to follow) on the airport web site ; go to www.barberaircraft.com click on Taylorcraft Parts & Services for listings. bye Forrest
