Hey gang, especially those of you on the east coast!!
I'm not trying to be an alarmist, but the latest forecasts from our weather guy here in the New York State Emergency Operations Center says that there is a band of very heavy rain headed this way, from the storm currently in the Gulf. It appears that it will hit the coast hard and fast on about Monday.
Followed in a week or so by Katia, which is looking like it will either be a direct hit on the same area affected by Irene, or not miss it by much. If that happens, you can count on more flooding, damage and everything else we just went through.
We had him drawn and quartered for giving such a dire forecast, but you might want to look at your options and take precautions, as best you can, anyway.
