Thought I would post a pic of the early Model B brakes on my 1938 B. I was a little suprised when I took the wheels off and found these staring at me. Luckily, I had restored a set of later wheels and brake assemblies with the 1" wide linings. The take-up for lining wear is comletely different as can be seen in the photos. The dates of mfg on both the original Shinn wheels was 1938. The side by side pic show the two styles next to each other.
