New to skis alaska

Hello I am new to the forum. I live in anchorage right now and my plane is in Big Lake. I am new to flying skis and have access to landes 2000. I was wondering what is required for the tapered axles, if you need to weld a cross-brace on your landing gear, and how does a Bc-12 65 perform 2000s.
