I'm hoping someone here has a copy (that they'd be willing to share with me) of the Approved Flight Manual Supplement BMF-003A, called out in STC SA24CH for use in Models 19, F19, F21 and F21A.
The plane I have came with the Baumann 1500s when purchased and the floats had been bought new by a previous owner. I have the stc, all the drawings, the installation and maintenance manual, but lack the flight supplement. This could be due to the plane having been identified, after the floats were purchased, as having the necessary modifications to qualify as Model 19 equivalent, whereupon stc SA1-210 was purchased and added to the paperwork. A BC12D-4-85 wouldn't have needed the flight supplement according to the Baumann AML, but it seems now it would?
I phoned Basler Conversions (current owners of the stc) and was told that they are unwilling to break up the package and supply me with the flight supplement on its own. I could, however, purchase the entire stc package for $1700. I tried to plead my case that I have the stc already and all other paperwork (and receipts from the original purchase), log entires of the floats having been installed, etc. to no avail. The representative I spoke with also said they have no records of any sales prior to their ownership of the stc.
I've also reached out to the FAA's Central Certification Branch which oversees the Chicago branch where the stc originated and made contact with a support specialist that I have hopes will be able to help me out. How long that might take is anyone's guess...
