I know this has been discussed a million times in the past, but I have been off this group for a few years until recently.
Is there an off-the-shelf Cleveland wheel and brake upgrade available that will fit the axles on a pre-war T-craft?
I just love making Cessna 150 pilots faint and terrified with hair-raising stories about the cable operated heel brakes. But I also would love to enjoy the extra power and control from proper hydraulic toe brakes if they are available reasonably. I fly off pavement in crosswinds, and I may try the vortex generator kit sometime this year. I just know that this combination will sooner or later create a situation where I need everything I can get to muscle the airplane back in a straight line below rudder authority speed.
Perhaps if there is not a specific T-craft Cleveland upgrade kit, maybe someone knows that the Cleveland Ercoupe upgrade (or some other existing kit) will fit the T-craft axle??? All help and expertise is welcome and appreciated.
Bill
