UPDATE: KNIK FLY-IN IS POSTPONED DUE TO THE VERY WINDY CONDITIONS THIS WEEK. We will pick a better day so stay tuned for updates. Fly safe!
If you're going to Valdez this weekend, have a great time! It's awesome. If you're not going to Valdez, didn't want to risk the weather, couldn't find a hotel room, been there and done that, and didn't want to freeze your booty off in a tent under the wing...we are having a little informal Taylorcraft Fly-In BBQ this Saturday at Knik River on the mid-channel strip. All are welcome. I will have Brats, buns, and grill, chips, and condiments. Bring your own chair and drinks. We will congregate at the mid-channel strip LAT 61*30'20.98" N LONG 148*55'40.35"W. Depending on winds and weather we may do some spot landing skills tests, poker run to various strips in the Knik River Valley, and flour bombing. It will be a fun time for whoever shows up. Planning 1:00pm to 5:00pm Saturday, May 12. Hope to see you there!
