I took my longest trip to date in the T'Craft last weekend to the Southeastern Regional Fly-In at Evergreen, Alabama. I intended to navigate the way I did many years ago - without GPS or any other navigation aid. Visibility was excellent, so I made it going and coming without using the handheld GPS. Stayed lost a big part of the time because I didn't see some landmarks (just the way I did a long time ago). Just kept plugging along and eventually saw something I recognized. I wouldn't try it without good weather and vis.
Had fun sleeping in the tent by the Taylorcraft. Mine was the only Taylorcraft I saw except for a nice L2.
