Okay...I've kicked myself for thinking about selling these enough. Need to finance a prop and some engine bits.
Nice original postwar aluminum pants...almost no damage or corrosion, chrome strip over center seam, Taylorcraft "bird" plates too... and the corresponding mounting brackets made of "unobtainium" in excellent condition.
I run larger mains, and probably never going to do a "museum quality" restoration job, but if somebody else is these would be darn near a paint-and-install effort.
Had a fellow at a neighboring aerofield tell me he gave almost a thousand bucks for a set that wasn't near this nice without brackets (nuts???)...I have no idea to be honest.
Reckon I will entertain offers...but not TOO entertaining. ;-) Would prefer a tribe member have them to the ebay option.
